Synopsis of The Piccolo Festival Murders

The Piccolo Festival Murders is the second in a series of murder mysteries featuring the irreverent, brilliant LT Maggie Watson. The story takes the reader to Charleston, South Carolina, where a mysterious murderer is causing chaos at the annual Piccolo/Spoleto Festival that is held there each May. While Death at the Cathedral, the first novel in this murder mystery series, took place earlier in the year in Rowlette, Illinois, in the second novel Watson and her close friend, Jonathan Pembroke, travel to Historic Charleston for rest and recuperation, only to be dragged into another disturbing murder investigation by the local authorities.

MW Burdette’s first three books in the John Bremen Chronicles focused on the military, espionage, and crime. Death at the Cathedral, the first in Burdette’s new series of murder mysteries, focuses on the disturbing world of maniacal murderers. The Piccolo/Spoleto Festival Murders, the second novel in his LT Maggie Watson Mystery Series, reveals the potential danger lurking behind every corner in the everyday lives of ordinary people.

Burdette lives in Atlanta, Georgia, with his wife and two West Highland Terriers. His other interests include painting, singing, and long walks with his two terriers and best friends, Chaucer and Emily.
